The first box arrives…

So excited to have received this in the mail from Potter Craft (Randomhouse). Betty Wong is my editor and the last part of the book publishing process is just full of lots of fun! These lovely cards came, which I believe they printed for the various events they go to. It contains the pattern for a little bear hat. I can’t wait until they release the photo for the child version because it’s one of my favorite photos in the book.

The little hat is knit in Noro Nobori. It was a “new to me” yarn that I found at an LYS in Georgia — Fleece, they had a few of the skeins displayed on the wall and the colors caught me. The yarn contains dozens of colors, and the place you begin in the skein can greatly effect the color of smaller items (Like this hat!). The children’s version from the same skien is pink, tan and blue! Its a really lovely yarn to work with, and I was very impressed by the uniqueness of it and how much fun it was to knit with. I can’t wait to share more with you, waiting with bated breath!
