I am so knee deep in yarn and in this book I can’t tell you what side is up. I’m knitting like a mad women, while trying to balance two kids and LIFE. The life part is running a pretty close race with keeping up with the kids. By life I mean the house, the yarn, the cloths, the bank, the car. The car, keeping that dang car clean. The kids are determined to mess that car up at all costs. OMGOSH THE GIRLS. They are about to be two and four. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?? I CAN NOT!!!

I am so excited about TNNA. Apparently its very soon – which scares me because I have not finished coding the Summer Petite Purls and that must be done and launched before TNNA.
Last year was the first time Allegra and I met, it was just coming up on Petite Purls 1st anniversary. Here we are one year later, and Petite Purls is still going strong. We made many connections at the first TNNA which will be resulting in some amazing content in our Summer issue, all things come full circle. I also brought my book proposal with me to TNNA, and this year I’ll be meeting in person with my editor and working on the actual book. I personally felt the last year has been incredibly hard, but at the same time I look at all the success we’ve had and how far I have come personally.

It was 91 degrees yesterday. I have no idea what to do with that, it’s not even June yet! My favorite kind of weather is mid-70′s. I love the sort of weather that in the evening you can wear shorts and a light jacket. Something about that sort of weather reminds me of the beach and is pleasant because your layers work for you, not against you. In Georgia I may need a jacket in the morning, but by 1pm I’ll be peeling it off and sweating awful and getting frustrated just from the heat itself.

It’s been crazy over here, my husband was out of town for three entire weeks, first to Canada and then on a business trip in a closer state. I am exhausted. I totaled my car that first week he was gone (and in Canada with no way to help me). Then my computer died (my new one, hah!) and apple told me it was a bad hard drive (aka their fault) and I lost THREE MONTHS worth of photos of my kids and anything else I photographed for my online stuff. Seriously sad stuff. I had last backed up everything in February, and I did not expect a new computer to die on me. Apple is still a far superior product to windows but I am disappointed in how getting bigger has, as always started to chip away at a wonderful company. The bigger companies get, the worse they get, seems to always be pretty reliable an assumption. SOME things do get better, but quality always seems to suffer for success.

Last week was wonderful, I had Wednesday and Friday with LG in daycare. I had no idea how it would go, I set my expectations low. When I went to drop her off on wednesday, everyone was outside so it worked to my favor that she didn’t cry when I left. Who would cry when they have a slide and swing to distract them? The report was a great day, with no cheers and she had, *gasp* fun. I had not thought she would, her few times at the YMCA had not been so great.
