How to store knitting patterns on your iPod!

I was sitting here with my iPod this morning, thinking hrmm wouldn't it be cool if I could put knitting patterns on it? So I went to some iPod forums and asked around and got the answer, YES I can!

In you're iPod: Main Menu > Extras > Notes

iPod Knitting Pattern Reader :)

I also was able to get a chart into the photo section but I have yet to capture a decent picture of it. It's very crisp and easy to read!

Here is how to put the files on your iPod - very simple instructions!

It's always a lovely saturday when you have a big room just for you and a bunch of knitters, and a waiter to bring you coffee of course!

Great "johnny" shot. At least you're not in the pic. LOL!

Awesome iPod discovery - you are my favorite person today!

***sigh*** knitters and coffee, my favorite

I love your new socks! Have fun knitting all night =)*)

That looks like a lot of fun. It's been a while since I been to a club like that. Yeah now that I think of it it has been about 6 years. WOW!! Time flys.
See you soon !!!!

Thanks for the i-pod info. Now,how to transfer a chart from a pdf. ?!!!

You would just need to take a screen capture (print-screen button on PC) and then paste that into a graphics program.

thanks for the ipod info. thant's going to make my life more organized.

Are you putting only very short patterns on yours? I tried putting a toe-up sock pattern on mine, and kept running into the 4k limit. I know I can split it into multiple files, but it seemed like a bigger hassle than it was worth.

thanks for the i-pod info, and thanks for posting it at knittersreview, I really appreciate it.

I am glad you like the socks - I loved knitting with this yarn. They shall keep you warm - there are some cold days in Georgia ;-)

Looks like you had fun! The socks are just too cute! Did you finish your Sockapalooza socks yet?

Nice picture of the bathroom, heh.

It you have a paper chart, you could use a scanner if you have one. Or you may be able to shine a bright light on your chart and take a pic with your digital camera.

Holy Mackrel, Patterns on ipods, I just put my sock pattern on, thank you, thank you, thank you!

I love the patterns on the ipod. I knit on public transportation, and it is a life saver to not have to rummage through my bag to find a pattern. Merci Beaucoup!
