I really, really wanted my kids to be close like that, so I tried to have them close together, but it didn't work out that way. I have two boys (now 10 and 13), and they have been at each others' throats since day one. Sigh. Spider plants are supposed to be among the best plants for purifying the air. They're cheap and super easy to propagate, too. Buy one and make as many as you want! They're perfect indoor hanging plants and require minimal care. Great for hanging in windows or corners in any room. I love to garden and have tons of plants inside. I am sure it makes a difference in the air quality. Just think about how fresh and wonderful the air is inside a nursery or arboretum. Those picture made me teary eyed.
