planning lots of things

So much is going on and I seriously need to find more time to blog! We launched our Spring 2010 Petite Purls, I had a cute doll pattern in it and my adorable girls showed up in a few photos I took.  My oldest, BG, has an adorable watermelon dress her cousin/Aunte got her and I am working up a new lacey bolero pattern for her to wear with it, if I can get the lace panel to work out! I’ve been sketching, and working on another doll pattern that will be available soon. I’ve also been working on sketching up ideas for a “big project” that I am going to call “The project that can’t t be named” aka TPTCBN. I may have more to say about it eventually, and it will take a lot of me time but for now it’s one of those things I can’t go into, sadly!

On the other side of things, we have accepted all the submission for Summer and will be waiting on all those lovely’s to be coming in, and in June we have TNNA!! This is my first TNNA ever and I am so excited about it. Can’t wait to meet up with lots of my twitter/designer friends.  So much has happened this last year and I have so many more business contacts and networking opportunities then in the past, its going to be crazy!

The next 2 months will be crazy at home with a trip to the beach and a trip to New York City planned, and then in November Disney World! We have not traveled in so long and I’ve been itching too but I am a bit worried it s a lot all at once, I also have to drive to North Carolina to visit a friend right before her wedding, very sad I can’t attend due to the NY trip, but yet even MORE travel! I normally get car sick if I knit in the car, and I can’t knit on an airplane while entertaining a toddler and a baby, so, very limited knitting time! With that said, BG starts “summer daycare” in June, so I can get some stuff done! I think every SAHM that can pinch the pennies to afford it should give themselves 2 months each year with their child in daycare. It gets the child socialized, and gives mom a much needed break, but it’s only for a little while which I think is nice. Most daycares have open spots in the summer.

In baby news, LG is almost 9 months!! She has been able to crawl across the floor pretty fast for a while now, she doesn’t use her legs but pulls herself like a wounded solider, and she can make it across the house from one hallway to the kitchen before you have even realized she left! I don’t think she is ever going to use her legs, because she’s already standing all the time and trying to take steps, she is VERY mobile! She is SO happy when she is standing! She has two bottom teeth she got around 7 months I think, and she’s fully off her acid reflux meds and seems fine. She does whine a lot but I think it’s teeth related, but when you get out of the house she loves watching all the goings on! Just this past week she has started sleeping until 1am, then until morning, only 1 wake up! So excited about that. I am used to staying up until she wakes up around 10 or 11, so I need to train myself to go back to sleep earlier so I can get more sleep! I do not do well going to bed at 1am.

Due to her learning to sit up on her own, and now stand all within a few weeks, she keeps getting bruises the poor dear, so I have not been photographing her as much as ushual. She seems to be getting more steady now so hoping to get some beautiful photos of her as she starts to fit into some of BG’s old hand knits!

They each get cuter every day! If you can find some Arnica for those bumps and bruises, it really helps the pain go away faster and minimizes the appearance of bruises.
