Rock Out

Good news, my new Milk pattern will be available tonight or tomorrow, I just have to put it into my pretty PDF formating and it’s ready to go. This has been my most expensive and time consuming pattern to date, I hope everyone enjoys knitting it! I’ll be working on getting it up tonight after the kids are in bed.

This morning I finally finished a pair of pants I started a while back, when I made that sewing tutorial. They came out so punk rock cute, I did not hem the legs yet though because I probably need to make them longer, need to find some pink to match. They came out pretty cute! That has got to be the worlds easiest way to make pants, and pants sew up so fast too! After 3 elastic waist bands I feel like a pro.

They came out pretty cute, I learned that knit fabric is much harder to sew then woven, now I know why woven is so popular! However, a knit is far more comfortable to wear. Super soft, stretchy and comfy. Cute funky fabric too.

Here is a pic of LG, trying to crawl. She ushually cries shortly after she’s seen doing something like this!

Too cute! You can’t tell the fabric is knit. The print is so clear I would have thought it was on a woven fabric.

Hummm if I give Graham antlers will he finally start crawling?

Congrats! I think you are amazing! Having 2 kids and producing a pattern! Wow!

I have been wanting to sew Melody some pants. She doesn’t fit into any pants her age group at all. She was wearing 18 months jeans and her waist is so small, they kept falling off at playgroup. For a 24 month old, it has been difficult finding pants for her that are not the stretchy legging kind.

It’s going to be 92 degrees here today in Atlanta. It’s hard to get into a “fall” state of mind with that sort of heat, but that didn’t stop me from having a holiday-cookie-baking-urge, pre-halloween pumpkin shaped cookies would be perfect right? I also had an un-stoppable urge to sew something by hand, and the [...]

I was able to run by Joanns craft store today, and they have totally re-done the entire store! It’s been the same for well, years that I can remember. I love how they have all the fabric spread out now. I went to hunt down a random fabric I’ve seen on etsy that apparently is [...]
